Since I take the Web 2.0 class, I found out that the cell phone is used to check diabetes. I was so interested in the new technology how it works and set up in the real world. Indeed, I learned in class that Latin Americans use mobile phones lot more than other national groups. This article shows the correlation between the cell phone users and diabete checking system. According to the article, telehealth programs for checking diabetes is helpful in Latin America. Latin American commonly use cell phones, and the program can be provided from a central location to low income countries across the world so that they can be monitored in regular time, improve diabete management skills, and do not need lots of money for visiting the clinic.

I, also, thought it was interesting that one could use mobile phones to check blood glucose levels for diabetes patients. I think this is great because it does lower healthcare costs.
